It is a dynamic programme – the format, content, presentation and audience will evolve and be different each time. What will remain constant is the continual dialogue between the museums and the public. The Louvre Abu Dhabi: Talking Art Series is a series of panels taking place in the framework of the launch of Louvre Abu Dhabi. Through this series the public is invited to discover the collection of the Louvre Abu Dhabi museum. The series is organised by Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority, in collaboration with Agence France-Muséums and École du Louvre. The series engages with the heart of the museum and the concepts of discovery, convergence and education that are deeply rooted in its identity. They work as catalysts for progressive engagement on the overarching theme of universality on which the curation of the museum is based – drawing on the Middle East’s role as a bridge between east and west, north and south, as a region at the crossroads of civilisations. The collection embodies this unique meeting of cultures and the talks expand on these ideas of sharing and universal knowledge whilst exploring the aesthetic expressions of different civilisations and cultures from the most ancient to the most contemporary.
